Default EGG CANDLING...THANKS TO DAN AND DARREN...(UPDATE)

For quite a few years now I have incubated tort eggs without ever candling them, I would just bury them in sand (not too deep though) and just wait to see what eggs hatch .

After watching both Dan and Darren's many threads about candling eggs, this year I will also be doing the same myself. I still bury the eggs in sand, so when I take photos in various stages of incubation, I carefully brush away (using an artists brush) the sand to expose the egg, take the pic, then cover the egg back over. In both the 2nd and 3rd pic, you can see the other eggs under the sand.

Once again thanks to Dan and Darren , because without their great input on this forum, I doubt I would have done this ...T.T. 8)

1st pic is 14 days incubation.

2nd pic is 21 days incubation

3rd pic is 28 days incubation, so far
