Congratulations for your new hatcling, Adam I´m sure, that the yolk sack is absorbing maybe in 1 or 2 days. It looks all normal to me. Good luck with her; she looks so tiny

Stresfull is one way to put it lol .. always on your mind wether your doing all you can do.. or how she is etc.. Comparing the photos the sack is going down... but i must say very slowly.

I have gotten a ear bud and tried to put waer over her mouth to get her to drink, which she does!.

She was more active yesterday then today so i hope she is just resting..

Im friends with a vet 1mile away from where i live who would like to see her to have a look but i think ill just leave her be if others here think the picture is normal.

Any advice is most welcome

Adam I am sorry to cause any upset but that looks a little bit odd. I would be getting a vet to look at her very quickly although I am not sure they would be able to do anything. Are you sure that is the yolk sack? My hatchlings yolk sack didn't look anything like that and it really should have be absorbed by now.
I would also suggest you follow Dannys idea of resting the baby in a vaseline smeared pop bottle top.

I really hope alls well that ends well.

The yolk sack looks fine but like Jane said, you need to get the hatchling in a pop top that you have smeared petrolium jelly in. You put the yolk sack in the pop top and the hatchling sits on top of the yolk.
Hatchlings don't do well sitting on their side. Also it's not good for the yolk to sit on anything wet as it can soak up to much water and cause the hatchling trouble. The yolk won't go down fast as the tortoise isn't moving much and using up energy. Thats about a weeks worth of yolk there.
Is he still in the incubator?

Danny
