just a update on Hugo...
the wound has healed over nicely, the feathers in that area are starting to pin, the wing is now being held at a much better angle, and he is doing a few wing flexes, so must not be in so much pain he has been move out of the hospital pen and into the sheds, another 2 weeks and he will be moving to a rescue place where he will go into a huge flight with some other birds, from there he will either take up flying once more or if unable to fly, will live out his days in the flight |

your warm wishes have been passed on to Hugo....thanks guys, he is in great fettle today,
now he has moved into the sheds i wont have much to do with him apart from feeding, dispite what humans did to him, he is getting way too friendly, makes it hard on both of us if i let him.. |

Great news about Hugo. I think that until you've had a pigeon as a pet, you can never understand what amazing characters they are. Despite the mess my Benji makes I would not be without her.

lol they are little mess machines, i dont know why it passes thro a pigeon quicker than any other bird!!
they really are the best pets, i would dearly love to start keeping them again, i have had some beauties in the last year, but if i start doing that, then i dont have the room for the sick ones lol Hugo would make a lovely husband for your Benji have you ever gave Nice biscuits as a treat, i have not come across a pigeon yet that is not hooked on them!! |

I have quite a fussy eater, the only thing she'll eat is seed, dandelion and the occasional bit of popadom lol. Will try nice biscuits to give her a treat.
