My male and female horsfield
Here is a picture of my male and female horsfield i have had the female for about 6 months now. I got her from a pet shop yes i know this is bad but she had been in there for over a year and i had a male and wanted a female but was finding it hard to find any.

I cannot keep them togther as the male is very aggressive towards the female. He bobbs his head then bites her front and back legs and then trys to mate her.

I have put the male with her 3 times but nothing yet, i will have to put him with her again. Its not nice to see him biting her legs (it brings blood sometimes) but it has to be done. Thanks peter.

I can imagine but I guess its like them being in the wild its what they do although I suppose she would be able to escape somewhere in the wild. Just a thought is she smaller than the male?? I f she is how about making an enclousure with a hole only big enough for her to fit through so shes has somewhere to go?

If she has somewhere to go then she would never get mated. No she is larger than the male.

If you leave him to bite, eventually they will mate, but IMO its best to let them breeder from their own will, not 'force' them.
