Its a miracle because the temps wouldn't usually stay at the correct hatching temps (30-31) and the humidity wouldn't usually be this good.

That really has amazed me, and just goes to show how sprising torts are!!!

Darren,

I believe every word. I would imagine the egg burried within a deep substrate and the ambient temps in the tortoise room you wouldnt be far off the conditions of the incubater anyway.
