These are the tortoises from St. Catherines Island here in GA. They were forced to leave and seem to have ended up in a better place. John Behler was in charge of the St. Catherines Island facility.

No. They moved it there the same time I moved here. It is also around Santa Barbara which is half way between LA and San Francisco which is a good distance from San Diego.
