Setting dimming stat

As some of you will know I purchased a Microclimate B1 600W stat for my torts. I tried setting it up yesterday but failed on several occasions however I seeked more advice from the shop today and think I have set it up correctly.

I turned the stat on full and left it for a bit to let it reach high temps then slowly adjusted it. The stat is now set on 24c and the thermometer was giving off readings between 32.3 - 32.6 max.

I now think I have set it after a lot of messing about! There should certainly be a thread at the top on how to set up thermostats!
