Was a brilliant meeting, as always, and was a very interesting talk about CITES.
Lovely to see everyone, and thank you so much to Wendy for organising it, Bindi for the lift down there and to Dave for the goregous horsfields (i will look after them... promise! ) Hope to see everyone again soon, with even more faces next time! |

Deep embarrassment!!!
I had meant to attend the meeting today but got distracted by some family matters. Having spent most of last week away, in Germany, I really had to win back a few brownie points. By the time I had looked again at my watch this afternoon, it was already 4 pm and therefore had missed to Meeting. |

As always was nice seeing the shelledwarriors motley crew!

Great meeting yesterday, thanks to Wendy for working her little socks off as per usual, and a very interesting talk by the Cites team. What they come across in their job is enough to make your eyes water..
Fab as usual to see amongst others, the Kirkmeister, Joe, Sandy, and to meet Vicky12. Thanks as well to Jem for keeping me company in the car, and I'm sorry to leave you shop-keeping whilst i hid outside having a ciggie I am a baaaad lady lol |

It is always good when so many get together and have a great time, meet ‘old’ and new friends and enjoy the day and my cake! The talk was great as usual and Tim always does a terrific presentation. It is good to learn what the CITES Team does and puts another perspective on our hobby of keeping Chelonia.
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. We had over 50 people attend; Bindi did yet another excellent job manning the ‘shop’ and sold so much I have lots of work to do and place another big order! Jemma did well filling in during the ‘ash break’! Kirkie tried hard to escape but as usual could be found in the kitchen Sandy was great serving the teas and everyone else just enjoyed the quiche, sandwiches, sponge cake and chocolate cake …. covered in Easter chicks! Cream teas for July! Great ‘shelled meet’ ….. sorry you cannot make the next one Bindi. See you all in June.
