His wee legs are floppy, he's warm cos I have him under the lamp.
His eyes are not moving at all, I touched his tail with a cotton bud and no reaction. If he's dead I have to sit with him. I am so upset.

It sounds like he probably has passed on. i'm very sorry. You could open his mouth is his tonge still pink or is it pale? If its pale he's probably gone. My thoughts are with you.

I am sorry. I dont know if your bothered but if you want to have a ortopsy (sp?) done you need to get him to a tort vet pretty quickly. Is this your only tortoise? Has he been well? How long have you had him? If you aren't up to answering questions then thats fine.

Thanks Jason x but my brain can't really think just now. I'm off work today
so can be with him. I think I'll give him a nice warm bath and tell him I love him then put him in the small box with shredded paper I have prepared. Then I'll say goodbye. Can anyone tell me please what I should do now? I can't put him in the garden as I am renting ( I only moved here 6 weeks ago)

Have you got a Pet cemetry close by? Or just bury him in local woodland. You could plant a tree above him so you'll always know where he is.

Oh Caroline as I read this it broke my heart.
Im so sorry for your loss, you loved Lottie so much it must be really hard for you. Do you have friends or family near by that will let you bury him in their garden? |
