Default Urgent

Just been to check on my baby tort and it looks like she's been stood on, she was in her run but my grandson has been here today. The top half of her shell is split all the way round and her scutes are split, to be honest it looks like she's dying, her legs and head are limp.

Barbara, have you a vet nearby that would see this little one, it sounds very serious. I would very gently place the tortoise on a soft material and keep it warm but dimmly lit, as it may be in shock and try to get a vet asap. I hate to ask but are you sure its still alive?

I was upstairs my daughter was in the garden with him, she swears he didn't go in the run but who knows, nobody is more upset than me about this than me but accidents happen no matter how careful we are. She's with the vet now but he said I will be lucky if she survives.
