Shelly is beautiful - I am glad she is making a good recovery. It makes all the difference having a vet you can trust.

Hi all well shelly had her bandage off tonight and she has staples in her leg, she is not using it, mike jessop said if she does not use it by monday we have to take her back and we will have to give her physio, she must have been holding her pee in because once we got her home she peed for england , she has to keep the staples in for at least 8 weeks, as tortoises are slow healers.

I am sure she is glad to be rid of the bandage, hopefully she will soon begin to use her leg again and not need too much physio.
She is a beauty and I hope she will be back to her old self again soon.
Keep us posted on her progress.

I hope she gets better soon

Just goes to show you how important it is to find a vet who knows how to treat a tortoise

Hi all, well her leg is really fat today, she is using it slightly, we are going away this weekend and shelly will be going with us , normally my sister-in-law has her, but I want to keep an eye on her, will see how she goes over the weekend, if she is still not using it much we will take her back to the vets and see what physio we can give her .
Thank you for all your good wishes. xx
