This is true everyone, they have exchanged my one 5 times, each time it goes wrong they send me a new one and even better it comes with a fresh warrenty each time and now because its been back so often they keep sending us free games .Aparently the older models are more prone to it than the newer ones. My sons one we got for free as a friend of my husbands bought a new one when his one broke down and i rang them up and they changed it. If anyone on here has even a minor problem with their one ring microsoft up and claim it has a ring of death and they send you a new one anyway as they dont check them as the fault is so common, the extended warenty only covers a full red ring so even if your one only has one or two warning tell them that all four are red and they will happily exchange or repair it!

If you turn it on and wrap two towels on it, sometimes the heat will solder the wire back together, sounds crazy but worked for me
