heres sid in all his glory I think hes very handsome, considering his diet hes in lovely condition very friendly and likes being handled, I have one problem/querry his cert is an Exemption cert or if I read it right an Article 6, it was only valid for 1 year and ran out in 96, if anyone knows what I do that would be great but I,m assuming I get in touch with Defra who issued it and get it changed, it has his breeders name etc and a number for him so I,m wondering whether the certs have changed since then and what I have is the equivallence of todays ones that come with the babies, either way his owner never had it changed so I will have to if I want him as a mate for tootsie,he came orriginally from the Thanet Tortoise rescue whom I assume also bred them as he was hatched Aug 95 and brought May 96 so everything seems to be in order apart from this cert. Help anyone. ps you should see the old info that his previous owner had on looking after him it all came with him and how things have changed.

Sorry i have not got a clue, but if it was me i would ring DEFRA and explain the situation. He is lovely.

do you think I could be right and that what sid has is an earlier version of today Article 10, it covers selling, display transportation etc but is on a white piece of paper, in fact I could scan and post it.

I have never seen that paperwork, but sure that DEFRA will tell you what you need, great looking tort
