id please/ Plastron pics added

These are two i will be collecting at end of the week. Are they THB? and i have been told they are females, i think they are females, what do you think?

They're definitely not Testudo hermanni hermanni, they're either Testudo hermanni boettgeri or Testudo hermanni hercegovinensis. A plastron shot will tell for sure.

Im not certain im afraid but I am swaying more towards T.h.b, either way requirements are the same

Thanks Alex and ME SHELL but do you have any ideas on the sex i've been told they are both females. I alreday have a four year old Thb male and a 1 yr old possibly female Thb so i want these pair in the photo to be female to make a trio of 4yr olds by next year.

They do look to be both females T.h.boettgeri on the left, T.h.hercegovinensis on the right.

Thanks Danny, am i right in thinking i connot mix subspecies due to chance of cross breeding? should i only buy the thb to be able to mix with my other thb's, also how can you tell the difference

If you just have T.h.boettgeri, than I'd stick with that female.
