Can you identify these tortoises from the Pet Shop?
I took a picture of the tortoises from a pet shop with a mobile phone, can you identify the one with the yellowy head? If it is Jordanian I would like to take her as a girlfriend for my Jordanian male.
She's in this pic: I also got another one, just so you can see how bad the conditions are in the pet shop. I have been to the pet shop lately and did not see the little ones, these pictures must be one month old. The big tortoises are there (most of them are female) but you can't see their colour because they are covered with white dust from the white stones which is used for substrate. |

The one with the yellow head and the other one are Syrian T.g.antakyensis.

I was hoping for her to be Jordanian.. I hope someone knowledgeable about tortoises picks her up, she does not deserve the treatment she is getting right now. Neither do the rest. I don't think I will ever find a female Jordanian for my male... If I am able to ask her to bring me a female Jordanian, how should I describe this subspecies for her? |

They always have small blunt brown heads, sometimes with a spot of yellow on top of the head. They are a small tortoise, females 6" to 7"

7 inch tortoises are 80Euro or 127.41 US dollars. I don't think they will have Jordanians, she does not tell me where she gets the from (obviously, that way she can get her profit!) so I am not able to look at 'their collection'. She says I can order and if they have she can bring me... I really wanted a Jordanian female because I would love to see my tortoise's offspring, I think that would be really magical! And at the same time helping the population grow. |

I have lost touch with my friend who has many tortoises as she is busy with her family the next couple weeks. I will ask if she can give me a Jordanian female that she has. |
