Great news, don’t worry too much if he doesn’t eat for a week or even two, he is living off the yoke sac that he has just absorbed, keep offering little bits of food, and he will gradually start to eat , a little more as the days go by. Make sure he is well hydrated, very shallow baths every day, and once he is on substrate, keep it moist, this will create enough numidity under a hide, to help keep him hydrated, and also when he digs down ( which he will ) this creates a humid micro climate . The best substrate is sterilised top soil, and nothing else.

As previously said, hydration is more important than food at the moment. As Suzie says he/she will be still surviving from the egg sac. And will eat when ready:0)
