Is their any way you could have wooden tortoise tables then you could have them joined at the end with one basking lamp over where they join, I use this method and it cuts down the amount of lighting needed. I use megaray bulbs. I know this is difficult in a home for space and perhaps people use this with plastic enclosures as well. I just wonder about the heat involved.
It easier for me as they are in my tort shed which I'd just for them. Maybe others may have better ideas.

I agree with ej and red foot marg my male bites my females legs and the other males but no blood if left they settle back down and carry on as normal u work 9-5.30 and I have never worried, the boys sit together and have a munch side by side other times they are trying to mate
