Budgies

I don't know if any of you remember but our pair of budgies hatched 3 babies at the end of March the first ones left the nest over the weekend and I think are so pretty that we're keeping them both I think are males, the blue one is the eldest there is still one in the nest but he's nearly ready as well.

How many budgies do you keep, we had themas a kid, and I used to know a guy that kept them as a free flying flock.

I only have two adults they were unwanted and are in the aviary with the cockatiels and lineolated, the father is green/yello and mother blue, this is their first lot of babies she had 6 eggg one baby died soon after hatching and the other 2 eggs were duds but I think they've done well to raise 3 babies I'm taking all the nesting boxes out after this as i don't want any more I think 1 lot is enough for her, I say I'm keeping them but next year or whenever they are of mating age I'll probably have to separate them as I'm not sure of the harm that interbreeding would do, however if anyone wanted one they'd be welcome and I don't want anything for them but if not they will have a home here with all the rest.

there looking great now.....much better than when they wer ejust born. i got 3 buggies, all males and get on fine, altho one of them like to be left alone.

the colours are stunning on them

aw i like budgies. i have 1 called Obie trice. hes blue with a light yellow head [i would add a pic but i find him difficult to take pics of!] very cute pets

i had 2 the the same colours has your babies called Axel & rose

Axel was 9 when he died and rose knocked the food tray out of its holder and fly out of the window never to be seen again
