Hostas and Tubs for table
Hello all,
Can you have any HOSTAS in the torts enclosure? inside table? or outside? or both? Does anyone know where I can buy large black tubs to use as base of table??? |

whats the trays for, is it to stop substrate getting onto the wood? you could always use pond liner if so, or even the large trays at garden centres you stand plants on, depends how big the tables is too, as to whether they would be suitable
As for Hostas, yes you can have them in for the torts - not 100% if ALL species are ok, but someone will point it out shortly i guess |

Yes, not sure what kind of Hostas but someone will confirm. I made a thread a short while ago regarding if it was edible and I'm SURE someone said yes

Thanks - lab-gang,
I saw someones indoor enclosure in here and they has a few black plastic tubs in their enclosure to waterproof the table etc etc Didnt think about garden centres lol kept thinking pet shop, dog baths lol Garden centre would be ideal. If I used pond liner, How would attach it? Glue? |

not sure what you intend doing with pond liner but if for lining indoor table some people just have it just above the soil level so weight of soil holds it in place. others have stapled it to the outside of the sides (up the 'walls' and over the top then stapled) EDIT> do you mean seed trays? get them in B+Q and the like. hosta won't do indoors really Last edited by Alan1; 28-04-2010 at 08:06 AM. |

My hosta grew lovley indoors until it was spotted, now every time a shoot tries to poke through the soil it is eaten straight away
