Ed, do you give any calcium carbonate or cuttlefish bones or is what's in the pellets enough?
I'm giving T-Rex three times a week but one of my torts eats them all and the other tort eats them all EXCEPT all the green ones! Since I'm not sure what the green ones contain, or even if they are any different other than just colour I'm not sure it's getting all that it should be |

I add calcium carbonate in the form of powder.
Again... it seems to be complet for the norm but all tortoises are different. Some don't need it... some do. Quote:

The Komodo one I buy are all a dull brownish natural colour I've not seen any with different colours, I'm giving my tiny little backward hatchling a few as I hope he may gain a little weight, no gain so far but it will eat one or two, I'm really surprised its still alive. It was born as half a twin the other was dead and he bled badly when he hatched from the shared egg, it only weighed 8 grams and we never thought it would survive, however a couple of months later and he's still here, same weight though but holding his own. I'm sure that putting him in with the others gave him the will to live and they are very gentle with him, go around rather than over unlike the other siblings. We'll keep another back for company, I doubt he'll ever be big but he's haveing as good a chance as poss, he's very sweet and so tiny.
