I use the copper tape around my planted beds where I grow the food for mine. It's a self adhesive tape that you get from Wilko or B&Q. I have had quite some success with it, then again though why would they eat weeds when they have lovely veg and flowers to go after.

The cheapest, easiest and most effective way of getting rid of slugs is to simply check under pots, stones, water bowls, anything where a slug can hide, and remove them. Dispose of them as you choose.

i'm constantly throwing rather large ones over the fence, i found 5 large ones eating the leftover weeds on the girls feeding slate x
