As I mentioned the local RSPCA probably still wouldn't have taken him due to him being a stray. I would (and have) done the same and taken him home. You did all you could and it's great that he's receiving veterinary treatment now. At least you bothered to do something, some people wouldn't. I am sure the vet will happily update you on him. What a lovely looking dog - I love scruffy dogs. Will keep my fingers crossed for him. It's amazing how quickly they worm their way into your heart isn't it.

i am suprised the pdsa treated him, as their ruling is or was that they dont treat strays

nor do the rspca take strays, if your prepared to travel, { i guess it would be about 80miles each way }, i could get him into a private animal shelter that would keep him until he is rehomed

Yes it is! I'm just upset at the cruelty of people and that this has happened. It's really distressing. I became attatched to him quite quickly and I'm like that with any animal.

Oh Linds WELL DONE YOU. Im glad you found him and made sure he was safe. I will never understand how people can ignore the suffering of animals and just leave them

Aww I really hope all goes well for the little fella, am assuming he...He's in good hands!

He was more than likely neglected and kicked out as he was unwell. Once an animal gets sick some people dont want to know, so out they go! Sick...These sick individuals need stringing up! So makes me angry!
I wouldnt bother with these charities, most of the time they dont want to know. Ive been there myself with stray cats, hence my little lot.

You sound like a loving person and have done your very best to help him. I wish him well! And well done! Keep up the hard work Keep us updated
