Default Hermanni haven

This is just a little plug for Chris Leone's site.

Chris has been keeping hermanni hermanni tortoises for a long time now and has built up not just amazing groups of these tortoises from different parts of their range but also a great understanding of them and their needs.

If you have an interest in tortoises at all, but especially hermanni hermanni, you really must have a look here:

Chris has been on our site here many times in the past but more recently he's been very busy building his own and it is quite special.

Such stunning specimens, Jonathan. His tortoises are quite something! The website is so well set out and interesting to read. Thanks for the link. I thought I'd read his website before but unless it's had an overhaul I must have looked at another one as this was definitely different. I'll bookmark it to return for a longer read over the weekend.

Yeah I enjoyed that video and the site is nice too. I started my own site a while back but never finished it enough info on other sites already lol.

I am still looking at a secure waterproof hibernation box though. This is ongoing until I think I have the design the way I want it.

Chris has some lovely tortoises but he's quick to say that he didn't get everything right at the start and has learned a lot and is still learning.

Thank you Jonathan and everyone else for kind words. It means the world to know my work is being shared around. I haven't been on here in ages as new house & property, tortoise collection, baby on the way in less than two weeks (yikes!) and running my sites has kept me occupied 24/7. So, I apologize for that. However, I encourage anyone to contact me through the site for any questions, concerns or to submit photos. Anything regarding the T. hermanni species complex (also T. graeca, T. marginata and T. kleinmanni) is welcomed as I continue to build the sites. Photos of any of the above mentioned tortoises in nature are paramount particularly T. hermanni as I am in the midst of working on a book and several articles concerning them.

Thanks again!

Chris

Chris your site is brilliant and always a pleasure to revisit even though I don't keep hermanns. CB
