On Wednesday she was 835g and SCL of 164mm.
No paperwork as i didn’t pay for her just the set up. She was given to the shop as a rehome and very little is known about her.

Nope I'm pretty sure that's what she is.
They like to be warm with a hot spot of 33. And night temps 18-25 or you will end up with runny nose

Surely that is illegal.

What did the shop sell you as a set up and how much did you pay?

Her shell is very bumpy and she just looks 'sad'. Has she got claws missing on her back legs? Presumably it is the light making her appear to have a pink tinge to her rhs?

I wonder if you have taken rather a lot on as a first time tortoise keeper, particularly not knowing her previous history?

As you say clare it is illegal but unfortunately people get away with it and I'm sure that what ever equipment was sold the price was quite higher than normal.

But looking on the positive side it seems that she is in the hands of someone who will give her a good home and the care she needs and seems to be prepared to ask for our help where needed so hopefully the outcome is positive.

So keep up the good work Daniel.

I have a Vivexotic table. A Arcadia d3 light. Hemp bedding. Calcium supplement. Cuttlefish bone pieces. Water/food dishes. I got some dry food too and fake logs. I then found some edible bedding that I have mixed in with some of the hemp bedding. I know this isn’t the best substrate but i don’t know the best for her yet. Pink tinge is probs the light. Pretty sure she has all her claws. Think one is tucked away a lot.

I am definitely willing to do what I can to improve her life! And I definitely need the help from experienced TKs!
I am wanting to build her a bigger table. But the space I have would let me go to 5’x1-1.5’. That wouldn’t be Big enough ideally would it?
