Awe they are adorable I have a soft spot for chickens. I would have some but unfortunately I'm very allergic to feathers.

Our neighbours had 5 hens for awhile and they used to sit on the fence and stare in my windows. It was hilarious. I miss them now they are gone.

They are rather lovely. They are more camera curious than anything else. They sometimes try to peck the camera.

Wendy, are they hybrids? If so, are they still laying regularly and how old are they now?

Mine had a much slower winter this year (still laying, but more days in between)than last winter, but are laying well again now.

They are still laying except Willow, who lays maybe once a month now. She's about 5 years old, the other 2 are about 3. Had a break when they had a big moult last summer. They do slow down through winter now. When they first started laying they were consistent, every day without fail.

Thanks Wendy. Mine are 2 and I think this will be their last really productive year and then they'll slow down and the eggs will come more sporadically.
