Default Lucky reptile bright control.

Anyone got this? Having some problems with the bright control, I think. I just ordered a new bulb, but it takes ages before it arrives. In the mean time, I'll just make do with what I got and hopefully there's an electrician here.
Whenever I move the bright control it makes a clicky noise as if something is loose in there. And when I plug the cold equipment in, it works for a while but when it gets heated and stuff, it just goes black.
I really hate when expensive equipment like this doesn't last for more than a couple years... Hehe. Anyone?

Well, if you plan on getting the lucky reptile metal halide bulbs (they give heat, UVA and UVB, then you should get them. But the bulbs are expensive and you need a bright control (balast). All-in-all it's expensive equipment But it's worth it, I guess. I'm satisfied. I just hope my hermanns can stand the irregular lighting hours until the new bulb comes. It just can't be healthy for them
