at least a 4ft Viv so that temps will be wide enough (hot/cool) either combined or uv strip light. get in touch with Stells on this forum worth your while.

Heat is all you need and a good diet.

If you go 'natural' make sure you provide D3.

There are some good pelleted diets that are ideal for Stars where supplements and UVB are not needed.

Decided to go with 4ft viv. 24" uv strip light plus ceramic heater with dimmerstat.

Hope this sounds good

yes sounds ok, you could have taken a longer strip light say 3ft/42", what substrate have you chosen? keep your strip light on 12 hours.

I still haven't bought yet so could still get larger strip light.

I'm not sure what substrate, what do you use

With substrate I split my areas into 3.
1st one is a cat litter tray full of sterilised top soil (B&Q).
2nd is rocks high enough for the tort to climb into the cat litter tray (good exercise).
3rd area is orchid bark.

Def get larger light/uvb. Google Surrey Pet Supplies mega cheap.

if you go with a strip light , use a reflector with it as this doubles the light getting to the animal.
