Question Daft question about bathing

I know this will sound really daft but I'm a new owner and being overly paranoid.

I know I should bathe my tort daily in warmish water up to the level of the plastron.

I've got a soft toothbrush as I've heard that's a good idea - but after bathing should I try to dry the tort or just put her under the basking lamp to warm up and dry off.

I also pat dry with a towel, and then leave him to wander around himself

I don't dry them but the heat lamps do that in about a minute anyway.

When they are outside in the rain they take a bit longer to dry I suspect

i dont dry mine either, i put them them back into the garden pen or in their shed under the light, all depending on what time they are bathed

I do dry mine on an old towel, but then again i also sing to them in the bath. I dont think that either are essential!

I dry my little ones a bit with some kitchen roll, and I have a little towel for my bigger one. Just to get the most of it off.

I love jazzotangs reply!

Can I ask please, this sounds weird but one of my torts is a 2 & 1/2 year old marginated & when I put her (I think!) in her bath she dances, none of my others do it & I just wondered if anyone else had seen this? First time she did it I panicked & thought id put her in water that was too hot, but it wasnt. She just waddles & rocks from side to side & moves forward with all her legs hanging out of her shell, she seems quite happy.

ps I dry mine on kitchen towel if theyre staying in ie on top soil, so they dont turn it to mud! but leave them wet if theyre going out in their pens on the grass etc, I think its personal preferance.
