Tortoise in portrait
Had an old canvass sat around but it was wrong one ! should have been for watercolours as I am better at watercolours, and pencil drawing when finished article,
but gave acrylic a go.....mmmm best for flower pots maybe, tried to get the triangles I love on marginated tortoises right and her movement,

I am very impressed. I cannot draw unless I can do something with a ruler that needs straight lines.
Love the facial expression. Definitely conveys movement. I can see you will need to do more so they can be sold at the Hampshire Tortoise Society fundraiser. Or how about making cards? I would buy some.

It's brilliant!
I'm assuming Beau was your beautiful model? Very impressed indeed.

thank-you thank-you everyone ! made my day with your comments! Beau was the model yes ! And I think most art is very special even if can not draw ! it is the interpretation though I am not sure on some of the modern stuff, I actually can't stand it. I remember I saw a pre medieval goat surrounded by nuclear embryo's struck by lightning or something or other etc etc etc at the Tate and just stood there agog that was on show. I had to supress a laugh (sorry goat artist with alien twists). The National Gallery is one of my most favourite places of all time. It is just WOW. CB

Well!
Getting the measure of Anyfoot, I think.... Or perhaps it is that he likes his measures! IF I have guessed correctly on the type of artist. CB- when you sketch Gordon of course there will be scope for artistic flair. Perhaps you could do some sort of clever interpretation that incorporates something tortoise like. It could be quite modern on the lines described above.
