Here’s a thing....... the number of times, when I am talking about hibernating my torts to someone, they say to me “ how do you keep them warm “ , and I find my self speechless. Have they not heard of hibernating British wildlife in WINTER when it’s COLD . Am I being a little harsh or are they being a little stupid . I have been asked this a number of times and I really can’t believe it . I really do find myself staring at them wondering what to say next, maybe wanting to say “ why would I want to keep them warm , they are hibernating “ . My face must be a picture .

First of all Father Christmas doesn’t go hunting because he’s a kindly old gentleman, old is a key word here, that’s why he has white hair and beard.

We are not reptiles so we don't think like them when it's winter time we get out our thick jumpers etc and put the summer duvet away and get out the winter one to keep warm so that's why people who don't know assume you put them somewhere warm aswell.
That's the best I can come up with. |
