Default Christmas gifts

Ok let's all say what we would like for Christmas and after the big day see what we really ended up with.

I'm not one for wanting much but if santa could find his way to getting me a new van that would be great.

OK I asked Santa to bring me the best rear cycle light that his elves can put together.

I asked for:

Pilates socks as I have such cold feet
Walking socks
Vegetarian cook book
Cold Play CD greatest hits - if they have such a thing (still like CDs)
Any sort of hand/body cream

So hopefully very easy to buy for me.

Gordon - I have a feeling you might get a van that dangles from the Xmas tree
Jonathan - I recommend you ask for one of those rear flashing lights that you wear on your back or back of helmet. Great for safety.

I give hubby my wish list each year and he knows better than to stray from it!
After buying me a stock pot one year I made sure that would never happen again (though in his defence I use the stock pot a lot for soup, stews and even bolognese to feed my lot).

So I should be getting lots of books, some CDs, a Willow Tree figure or two and the essentials in my stocking - body spray, candles, socks, gluten free Thorntons chocs, etc.

Gordon, is Norman coming to the end of his life now?

Jonathan - my son bought some flashing light up testicle bike lights as his secret Santa for his cycle-mad colleague. Be careful what you wish for!

Jan - I'm sure you'll be in with a good chance of getting your wish list, though not sure Coldplay have a greatest hits yet. We have most of their CDs here and everyone plays them. One band the entire family loves, alongside U2.

His skin etc is all good, but he kept bursting his tail open, so they amputated it Wednesday, and he burst it open again Friday!! We should get him home any day, just need it to heal enough...

Bless him. Sounds like he's been through it. Hope it quickly heals and he can start his wonderful new life.

Poor Norman. Glad to hear you've not given up on him yet, but with the mileage you put in I can appreciate the need for a younger model.

I'm not getting anything this year, we've had an expensive year and I did get a new phone earlier in the year. But to be fair I have been allowed to buy a few nice things for the house, which I love doing ( I'm a very housey person) so I don't really mind not having anything on Christmas Day. We've just had new carpets and my room of doom is now a lovely room, and we are doing more to the house in the new year. So I can't complain.
