I can sympathise with that. With my pregnancy for my youngest I had hyperemesis gravidarum, which meant I was being sick up to 30 times a day and felt nauseous and dizzy all the time. I’d had first trimester nausea with his older siblings but this was horrendous and I was bedridden for over 8 weeks. Thank goodness he was the last!
It’s no joke feeling sick, that’s for sure and it’s left me with a bit of a phobia of it.

Can they give you anything to help with the nausea? None of the treatments they gave me made any difference at all. I’ve had Buccastan since for labyrinthitis, a tablet that sits between the lip and gum and is absorbed into the body that way and it helped a little.

The pain sounds awful and I assume there’s no painkillers strong enough to help much. Keep battling on, G. I really hope they get you booked in soon and then you can start to recover. It must be horrible knowing you can’t feel better until after the surgery.
Sounds silly but have you tried a hot water bottle on the pain? The worst pain I’ve ever had was a prolapsed disc and it was far worse than childbirth! I have had a spasy back ever since, quite literally, and even in the summer I resort to a hot water bottle on it when the pain is bad.

Sounds like we need to gather our equipment and rendezvous at Mary’s as soon as!

Hang on in there! x

What a shame have just decided to put the house up for sale so don't think Gordon on the table in the all together with everyone gathered around will be helpful! I'll see if the village hall is free at the weekend. x

They did give me some smarties to take for the pain well they might well of been for what use they were and Monday gave me some paracetamol via a drip but total waste of time never touched it.
As for the water bottle I am using two which helps a bit.

Mary I was going to wear my new red and white polka dot speedos so I won't be revealing to much and it won't hurt if they get blood on them as they are pvc mmmmm

Oh no, that does sound pretty awful, I too can sympathise with feeling sick all the time. My second pregnancy, I felt sick for pretty much 40 weeks, not as bad as Emma, cos I wasn’t actually sick, but it was mostly miserable. They have surely got to sort you out soon, they can’t leave you like this for too long ?

Paracetamol doesn’t touch a headache let alone a gallbladder infection! I thought they’d have you on Diclofenac at least!
Really hope they get on with it soon.
I used seabands on my wrists as a last resort when I was pregnant. Ginger didn’t work as I threw up any biscuit or any kind of food and drink, even ice lollies!
Not sure how you’re getting on eating and drinking when you’re feeling so sick but I became really dehydrated. They say peppermint helps if you can bear it.

Can’t believe you’ve been in this pain since Christmas.

Are you going to wear your pvc speedos into hospital for the nurses?

its ok I found a pair with strawberries on. it will cheer you up post recovery.

Apparently if sicky you have to drink lemonade. The glucose and sugars feed the muscles because it doesn't matter if you don't eat you have to drink. I thought with Port was a given but was told off.
Worse sickness I ever had was when I sold my house and went travelling across SE East Asia. Goodness knows what I ate in the back waters, and beyond but it may have been dead for a bit hanging out in 100 degree heat. Sounds like the NHS dinner regime. Thinking of you G , CB x

Well thing's seem to be better I've finished my second double dose of antibiotics and was back in hospital yesterday as still in serious pain but bloods said no infection so that's good.
Not feeling sick today but still feeling very tiered and sore but the docs said that should pass so we will see.

That's good news let's hope it lasts until you're able to have your operation. No news on that front yet I take it?
