ooh heaven !you've landed on your feet !! are you in the wilds of Scotland? can you make a documentary about Scottish Tortoise keeping? I am not kidding I bet it would be a prize winner.

I must say i've just got some BT phones, after nearly throwing the old ones, giga something or other out the window and the ones previous to that, cause I am a right fussy bag puss with home phones, (don't have smart phone fads) and they are fantastic! Good old BT, surely part of the British Empire like Dads Army, CB

BT are ridiculous! Waiting that long isn't acceptable. I hope it's sorted soon.
Thanks Emma, lots of work to be done in this house but only modernising rather than any faults.

Gordon, you could actually be talking about me except that I'm now connected after 'only' 3 weeks or so . The pole is outside my house too and the thing on the pavement that they go into to fix stuff as well.

Rodney look's like a girlie ! Reminds me of only fools and horses and of course he was called Dave.... so there is no hope.

Nice photo, I like your half chimneys too. CB

They are roof ridge tiles from the larger B&Q stores at £7 each. Very heavy and ideal for torts.
