Thanks everyone great suggestions, I think I'll put some wet gravel at the bottom and deeper substrate, and use a watering can!
It could have been pyramiding not MBD that was caused by low humidity...I may have got it confused, but either way he has some slight pyramiding too so the humidity is just something I want to get right to help him. Cheers guys!

On the subject of humidity leading to MBD ..... There is a logical progression that can lead to that assumption.
Excessively low humidity (whatever that may be, jury's out there) can lead to dehydration which can have a number of negative health effects which can lead to MBD. Poor digestion and stones may hinder calcium intake. Gout may limit movement exasperating the problem. Pyramiding also raises the calcium requirement, the shell has more volume. etc... |
