Default panacur hadnt worked - even higher wormcount

Pebbles tested on 9 May wormcoubt was 280 for oxyurids. I dosed her with panacur and tested again today and the wormcount result was 940epg!!! They've suggested I contact vet in case the worm is immune to panacur. Appointment in the morning what is vet likely to do???

I think you are supposed to treat 3 times at 10 day intervals. What type of Panacur did you use and what dose?

So how much were you giving them? What was your dosage level (ie how many grams of panacur were you giving per kilogram, 200g/kg, 400g/kg something like that). Here is a good article I just found, that says you find more worm signs after you worm than before you worm. http://publication.nhmus.hu/pdf/parh..._Vol_26_51.pdf

200g/2kg I think it works out . Thanks for the article . The worming people said it maybe because she was tested too soon after the first test and they were still passing through her system but the egg count has rocketed so think best get her checked. Better dig the credit card out!

Yep. Dead worms and eggs will take their time to pass out after a dose of wormer. Retest a couple of weeks after the last dose to get a better picture of what's gone on.

Well we are going with mg/kg and not g/kg From doing a bit more reading you might get better results by giving 10-30mg/kg daily for 2 weeks than larger doses every 10 days.

Well that's super confusing. How would we work the dosage out?

Panacur 10% Liquid - Each ml contains 100mg fenbendazole.
