With regards to the heater. I don't think the paraffin will work no depends how its done. I have been looking at ceramic heat emmiters in water proof holders because of the potential humidity. fan heaters again would need water proofing, but i will find a way

Hi guys, a sensible person here!!!!! Well sometimes anyway.
Parafin heaters whilst emmitting heat are no good for use inside a house as the parafin is converted into moisture, which in a tropical greenhouse is what you are looking for. Maybe someone else might be able to add further information to this. I assume there are no harmful fumes off these heaters to affect tortoises or butterflies. Ade

Right ok I am now serious too. My greenhouse can sadly only be 6ft wide due to space restrictions, but I will have a 6x12 area to work with. I'm considering an 8x6 greenhouse as is a starting size reccomended in my book.
