Nutrabol Everyday
Hi Guys,
I would like to say since being made more aware of the need to use Nutrabol daily on food, and reading other articles I would like to inforce that I am using Nutrabol daily sprinkled on food for all of my young growing tortoises. They also have extra calcium in the form of limestone flour and cutllefish too. Ade

Hi, I use nutrobal mixed with limestone flour daily +all my tortoises have dishes of fresh natural chalk (i live 2mins from
chalk quarry) and they can eat as much off this as they like, and they love it!!! all my babies have lovely smooth shells and the females will eat large amounts of chalk just prior to them laying. |

SHOOT ME DEAD NOW !!
Mine get it 3 times a week !! And my hatchlings rarely get additional calcium in the form of Limestone Flour. What they do get is a healthy balanced diet which is much better than the same old food sprinkled with powder to dry it out and make it totally un-palletable (in my opinion). Now i am not perfect all on the time so when the diet has more salad leaves in it they do get nutorbal 4 times a week !! I also grow weeds in calcium rich soil but agian this is not a continued supply and i do have to pick from the garden !! My tortoises are happy and healthly and should anyone wish to point me in the direction of documentation that says i should be doing otherwise it would be greatly appreciated !! Thanks Dazza |

Following the tortoise trust advise I use nutrobal daily sprinkled on their various weeds, cuttlefish and a small dish of limestone flour in the table . I did read on another website that the nutrobal may affect whether they eat their food or not but I have not found it to be a problem at all as they're used to it just being on their food. The limestone flour I think they just walk through rather than eat though!!

This is what I was told:
"hatchlings for the first couple of years and from around 3 - 4 juveniles. At around 8 - 9 subadults and from around 10 - 15 they are adults depending on their size. Some mature quicker than others but the slower they are grown the better." Hope this helps Judith
