if he were mine i would bin the pellets immediately

offera variety of fresh weeds & safe floers plants each day

keep him hydrated by bathing dayly

when he is hungry enough he will eat the weeds

they can be rather stubborn

cruel to be kind

good luck

They are stubborn creatures, but when it comes to food, believ me it won't take too long before they are eating weeds. I had two that were addicted when i got them and didn't eat anything else. When they came to me i refused to buy any and within a few days they were tucking in to weeds. I found Dandelion and Nipplewort the most tempting at first, but now they are my most adventurous eaters.... they love sedums and cactus and alsorts now, and it's only been 3 months

Your tortoise can go at least a month without food, but not water. So dont feed your tortoise
the pellets they are total rubbish, and can harm your tortoise. As they are high in proteins.
Let him go a couple of days without food, then put weeds in front of him, if he does not eat
them, remove and leave another day with out food. Try again.
No healthy tortoise will starve, they are just incredibley stubbon, and will try to win you over
by looking at you with those pleading beady eyes. But ignore<g>. Its the only way.
