I'm useless at spur id's but he does look very similar to my Algerian TGG. Do others agree with this id. Sorry Dan.

Hi Darren,
A friend of mine had it. She had it in a vivarium but he stopped eating & poohing so she took him to her vet, who took him in for x-rays & blood tests. Nothing was found. The vet reckoned the tort was about 35-40 years old. I wouldn't like to guess at his age really. Anyway, my friend asked me if I would take him on & try with him, as she felt sorry for him living in her viv. My friend had had him for nearly a year. She got him (or rather rescued him!) from a garden centre she used to work at as she said he was left in a cardboard box with shredded paper in it. He was awake & trying to eat the shredded paper, so she took him.

Good on your friend for atleast trying, it is a lovely tort. I have a tort that eats very little and has done since i got her 15 years ago it is a bit worrying, but like your tort vet checks have gave her the all clear, I rarely see her eat but she must as she poo's 2 to 3 times a week, torts seem to have the knack to give us someting to worry about.
