**warning graphic injure picture of head wound**
I woke up in the middle of the night to find my res fitting and thrashing about covered in blood with this wound on her head. has anyone any ideas what it could be I was thinking I might have been a bot fly but there was never any lumps there

Could she have got "sucked in" to the filter pipe?
Presumably as it was night time the lights weren't on so she couldn't have touched the bulb? Other than that - no idea, except poor thing. She will need treating and dry docking to get that healed. |

just trapped a rat in my bathroom ! round its mouth and chest was covered in blood looks like shes been attacked by it the hole in turtles head is deep but shes just had a soak and and ive cleaned up the wound again with some tamodine and she seems like she might make it but she is very ill

ive phoned the vet this morning to get a appointment they have just said to dry dock her and keep the wound clean ive emailed them this photo of the wound

Aww...poor little darling. I hope the vet responds to the photo and you get her healed and back to normal as soon as possible. What a worry for you.

Where is the turtle kept and how did a rat get into your bathroom? Hopefully, it has been "despatched"?

The turts are kept in my room am not sure were the rat has come from but it has now been "dispatched"
