Default Skin issues

I got my spur- thighed tortoise about 2 months ago. He's 10 months old, but when I got him I'm sure he didn't have any marks on the edge of his nose. It almost looks like he's lost a piece of skin. Is this normal or am I doing anything wrong. He's my first tortoise so I just want to make sure there's nothing I can do to help him.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks guys

Default Nose issues help

Hi everyone,

I really can't work this forum, I thought I posted a question so I appologise if I already have.

I have a spur-thighed tortoise that is 10 months old. It's my first tortoise and when I bought him I'm sure he didn't have this mark on his nose but it almost looks as if he has lost a piece of skin. If I'm being stupid and this is normal then great but is it something I have done wrong or I can correct?

Sorry about this guys I'm just panicing because I want him to be healthy and happy.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Tortoise shed their skin. Sounds normal.

I agree with TillyTortoise it sounds like he has just shed a scale, which is perfectly normal.
