Default Keeping it fresh.

Just wondering how you all keep picked weeds fresh.

I won't have time in the morning to go weed picking so I have done it now and will put it out in the morning. The transition has been made, I am now the mad lady with the greyhound, stuffing weeds into a carrier bag.

While the weather is not too hot, I keep mine in a tub of water outside:0)
I don't have too much trouble with weeds this time of the year as my garden is full of them:0)

I wash them and then they go in the fridge.
At this time of year I just fill a big bowl with them, cover and in the fridge it goes. With eight of them, the weeds don't last long.
When I had fewer torts, I'd put them in sealable plastic bags, portioned for a day each.

Yup, washed, into a carrier bag and in the salad drawer in the fridge for my weeds. My family ften moan there is more for the animals to eat than them in the fridge.

I wash and place in sealable bags, squeeze out the aire so the bags are vacuum packed, then keep them in the fridge ......my torts have their own tall larder fridge that I use for their weeds, salad and butternut squash and carrot in the summer then the fridge is used to hibernate my horsfields x
