Yes it is.

I can't quite work out what is around the turtle's mouth (although I have my glasses on) and also on its underside there appears to be a red/pink mark?

I think she has a shrimp in her mouth and the red thing is probably just a reflection...i've been seeing that 'ghosting' on mine for the last 20 years.

I think its some sort of food in the turtles mouth. The pink mark is a reflection by the looks of it.

Fair enough - your eyes are younger than mine!

What's on her mouth is a shrimp, I had to seduce her to get a photo

Usually she swims against the other wall of the tank when she sees me nearby, unless I have food in my hand

The reddish mark is just a reflection.

Now any hints on the marked areas ?

Hi

if it means anything, this membrane is not visible outside water, only under water, it cover parts of the legs and head, it disappears on some spots and appears on other spots.

Does this mean that it's skin shedding or not necessarily ?

From the pictures it does look to be just shedding skin to me.

I guess so as I noticed parts of this membrane float on the water and they disappear from the RES's body.
I need more info about skin shedding if possible ( how many times in a life span, how long does it take for a full skin shedding cycle to end, etc.)
