Question How do you prepare butternut squash?

Hi i just picked up some butternut squash at the store and just realised that there might be some way to prepare it can someone please give me step by step instructions or do i just cut it up and give her a slice? Do i feed with weeds or just by itself? How much do i give?

Thanks

I just peel a chunk and cut it into little pieces for Elvis (Our Horsfield) he is about 2 years old he loves it and manages it no bother to be honest I think if I put the chunk in he would manage it lol. My red foots like it as well they are about 1 and I just chop it a bit smaller.
