How do you think it will compare with the one due out in this country in January? I know the new one covers the Sulacta as well as the Leopard, I am hoping to get my copy before Christmas, from America.

sorry I didn't mean to offend, thats why I gave a link where there is a little bit of a write-up about it. I thought as you have the other book, the write up amazon have given it may give an idea as to if the contents are similar thats all.

Its a pity someone does not write a book on leopards in this country, as the climate, plants etc are far different to the US or any other country.
Come on Terrry<g>.

There is another book due out by Andy Highfield very shortly that covers Leopards, but unfortunately I don't have the publishing date or link for that.
I'm sure Dazza will stock it when its out, as has already stocked some of Andy's books and videos at Kimbos Reptile World.

I have the book in question Sarah (by Richard & Jerry Fife) and it cost 4 times that! It's a brilliant book but then I love books and I have a collection for everything I'm interested in! Larraine - thanks for the info on the forthcoming book by Andy Highfield. If you do find out any more info please let me know & I will do likewise. I will be pre-ordering the other one you mention too! Sandy - I totally agree there is a shortage of good books about tortoise-keeping in this country. Maybe someone with the appropriate knowledge will read this & be prompted to start writing.....

I agree shortage of books on Chelonia by British authors, I think people are a little afraid to compile there ideas and experiences remember this is the UK were tortoises are ruled by a major group I'm sure they would slate anyone not in the cliché as they do with most foreign authors .
I have a good Chelonian libary here and most of the best stuff is wriiten by Europeans they certainly know there husbandry. D
