Lost his horny tip !!!!!
Is it me ?? or has my tortoise lost his horny tip !!!!!
My other tortoise still has his... I'm confused

Your tortoise looks female, and from what I have been told, females dont have much of a spur on the end of the tail anyway.
I hope a hermans keeper can help.

this was my understanding as well.... only the males have the horn tip to their tails... id say it was a female as well.... tail seems very short?????

hi there,
I also have 2 hermanns that have lost their bony tip on their tail, is it quite common, will it cause problems, will it stop males and females from breeding? |
