Q. about my torts in hibernation.
As most of you know, its my first time hibernating.
I've got 5 tortoises in the fridge, they have been hibernating for 4 weeks now. I'm not sure what the weight loss should be..read different things regarding it. Could you please tell me if this weight loss is ok. Hermoine was 491g now 473g Lottie was 214g now 205g Dolly was 356g now 345g Roxy was 316g now 304g Ronnie was 230g now 222g Hermoine & Roxy did poo a little but none of them have wee'd

A 10% weight loss is acceptable. No one has lost 10% yet, so your doing just fine. If your worried at any point, it is perfectly acceptable to get any one up and give them a cool 15C soak, dry them off and put them back in the fridge.

I am in the same positon Lynne, my first time as I chickened out last year. The most one of mine has lost is 9g (starting weight 489.3, now 480.7) so I am delighted. The other 2 of mine onlly 3 g each. Must be doing something right as a beginner!
Good luck to you and me eh???
