Tortoises and rain!!
So I brought my small torts in when we started with rain the other day. My large male has dug himself in outside undercover. But my large female keeps parking up in one place and getting wet. There are loads of places avalible with cover but she sits in the rain. I brought her in and dryed her out a couple of days ago but she hates it indoors and bangs on the side ofte table. It was dry again so I put her back out, but now it's raining again. Should I bring her back in? Leave her out?

IMO, Leave her out.
it's not like it doesn't rain in the wild! If it was cold and raining, then I'd probably get her in, but it's not really cold outside.

There are flood warnings in many parts for today so look out for that.
One of mine sits under a bush in the rain but they are back indoors again, lashing down today and worse to come tomorrow. It's not that cold but it's only 16c here whereas they'd be getting 25-30c in the Med. Wet and warm is is okay, for a limited period anyway but not wet and cold. One day might be okay but not day after day otherwise shell rot could set in. It's also colder at night remember |

Can you create an indoor area that smells like outside eg near a small opening or window and maybe earth on the ground so she can dig a bit if she likes but keeps dry and warm. My experience is that when they get wet they can't move as they cool down a lot!

Mine have a cloche outside, which they use as a conservatory. If it's showery but warm, they trot in it to stay dry and cosy. They also have an outside house to shelter in.
When it's windy and cold with persistant rain, I keep them indoors. They only go out if it's infrequent showers. They were out this morning, but it pelted down this afternoon so I brought them in.

Well I think my torts would be drowned had they been out last night, 9 hours of torrential rain and it's still coming down

It's dreadful isn't it!! We have severe weather warnings for the south-west but at the moment it's eased a little.
When I went out to shut the chickens in last night, I was sloshing about in my wellies. We must be due for a mini heatwave in August and September.
