Blimey... How much!!!
just had my bill for gas and electric, nearly fell over £533 since end of September!!!. It wouldn't be so bad if I was a housewife and at home all the time with the heating on. But I work full time, so does the other half. I've checked the readings and they are right. Crazy world, how can these companies charge so much for something that is such a necessity!!
One very annoyed Sam x x

Bills are really excessive in this country. My daughter had estimated bills for 6 years and when they came to read the metre said she owed 4 figure sum. Nightmare. Now she has to pay it off

Well with a pond pump and a fish tank light, heater and pump going 24 hours a day 365 days a year and now 2 x 125watt Solar Glo bulbs going 12 hours a day I hate to think what our bill will be.

we have 3 ponds with koi carp in, and last year used to have the heater going right through the winter... well, that was til we had the bill needless to say this year they are shivering!!! apparently the heater was costing us the equivalent of having a large hot tub on the go 24/7... are far more careful with electric use these days...

I have swapped all our bulbs for low energy ones (bar 1 in the office) I now never leave things on stand-by, the heating doesn't come on till about 3.30 in the afternoon and basically am obsessed with trying to save energy after getting a bill in excess of £300 the time before last, and that was just for electric. I really begrudge paying so dearly for something you can't even see!

sam i had a gas & electric bill for £533 this time last year, in the summer i had a combi boiler fitted and i've just had a bill for £220 so my advice : invest in a combi boiler put your heating on timer and get some energy saving lightbulbs
