Obviously someone in your family is good at diy so possibly you could get them to drill some holes in the wood where it is too low and put in either some smoothed off bamboo canes or the wooden sticks you have, or buy some bits of dowel from the wood yard. It would then be similar to the bannisters in a house if you see what I mean.
They would have to be fairly close together so the tortoise didn't put her head or limbs through and not rough in any way, but also tall enough so she could not climb them and in deep enough so she didn't push her way through them. |

Nice table, i do feel that the lights should be a little higher and angled straight down and not on angle. I also like your yellow slippers with the big eyes lol xxx

You've done a fabulous job, you should be proud of yourself!! What about half burying the plant pot so its not so high and there is lots of compost in it, I think I saw somewhere that horsfields like to dig. It might dig in to sleep there.
But well done, your tort looks lovely and you are doing a great job for him. Gwen |

Funny you should say that, I remember seeing on here a picture of someones horsfield and table and in the corner was a fake plant and underneath you could see the tort had made a deep hole to sleep in!! If you have plenty of topsoil under the plant your tort might do the same!
